what makes me tick

there's something special that makes me tick
its been around for a long time now, as long as I can remember
it makes me so happy and yet can make me cry so much
it is my life, it's the reason I'm still here today

it has seen me through the best and worst
has been there to laugh when I'm happy
and help me when I'm down
I can't imagine living without it
I hold a special place inside for it
I will never forget all it has done for me

I would do anything for it, all it has to do is ask
and I hope it knows that it means the world to me
